Following the success of Breeze’s line, Pantech comes back with improvement in its new basic phone, Pantech Breeze III. Breeze III is an entry level phone targeted for senior citizens, kids, and cell phone novices. In details, here is the review of the phone.

Pantech Breeze III comes with a slim and stylish clamshell design measuring 99 x 51 x 19 mm and weighing 102 grams. The phone is covered by smooth matte material on the front and a textured finished on the back with curved edges. On the front side, there is 1.38 inches external display with 65.000 colors support. Right below the display are three LED indicators showing notification of incoming messages, calls and battery life.
Open the clamshell and you will find 2.2 inches internal display supports 260.000 colors and 240 x 320 pixels resolution – quite a stunning display for such an entry level phone. Right below the display, there are three physical buttons numbered with 1, 2 and 3. These buttons serve as a "Quick Call" speed dial to contact in your phone book. The navigation array in Breeze III consist of two soft keys, a square toggle with a middle Select key, a voice command key, and a camera key as well as Call, Back, and End Call or Power key. Below is the alphanumerical keypad that is arranged in spacious and large buttons. On the left side of the phone, there is volume rocker while on the right side is microUSB charging port. The camera lens is placed on the back side.
For the phone book, Breeze III can save up to 1.000 entries; each may consists of six numbers, three email addresses, five IM account, a Web address, a street address, a birthday, a company name, caller ID and more. You can also organize the contact to caller groups and assign each of them with one of seven ringtones or eight alert tones.
Pantech Breeze III runs on a quad-band EDGE (850/900/1800/1900 MHz) and dual-band HSDPA 3.6 (850/1900 MHz) network. You can experience browsing internet with HSDPA data network support. Other connectivity available is Bluetooth and microUSB connection. The phone is also supported by GPS navigation system that provides turn-by-turn directions.
For camera, Breeze III is only equipped by 1.3 megapixels camera with average image quality. The camera can also record video but the quality is quite bad with noises and blurry images. To store data, the phone provides 80 MB internal memory and additional external memory up to 32 GB via microSD card.
Although it is a basic phone, the multimedia feature is not left behind. It comes with a standard media player for playing music and video. The interface is standard one; it can organize songs into albums, artists, and genres as well as organizing playlist. To get more powerful audio output, there are also preset equalizer settings available. Furthermore, Pantech Breeze III is supports multitasking, allowing you to keep the music player going while you are running other application at the same time.
Messaging features of Pantech Breeze III include SMS, MMS, IM (AIM, Yahoo, Windows Live Messenger) and email. Organizer features include Calendar, Alarm, Calculator, Tip calculator, and Stopwatch. The battery life of the phone is rated up to 3 hours of talk time or up to 10 days of standby time.
