Experiencing 4G LTE AT&T Network With HTC Vivid

Recently, competition in 4G LTE smartphone market seems to heat up. Don’t want to be left behind, HTC joins the competition by released its 4G LTE smartphone for AT&T under the name of HTC Vivid. Beside its 4G LTE network support, it also equipped with massive features. In details, let’s have a look at the review below.

HTC Vivid is made entirely of glossy plastic exterior with rounded edges, beveled border that narrows towards the back and stainless steel finished on the back. It is quite a large phone but slim enough measuring 128.8 x 67.1 x 11.2 mm and quite heavy weighing 176.9 grams. It is a large phone since its features 4.5 inches S-LCD capacitive touchscreen with 540 x 960 pixels resolution. Above the screen are 1.3 megapixels front camera and indicator light while below are four touch-sensitive keys for Menu, Home, Back and search functions. Along the side of phone are microUSB port, 3.5 mm headset jack, power button, and volume rocker. The back side is resided by 8 megapixels camera with dual LED flash.

HTC Vivid runs on Android OS v2.3.4 (Gingerbread) with HTC Sense User Interface. All applications run smoothly and fast respond even in multitasking performance. Thanks to its 1.2 GHz dual-core Qualcomm Snapdragon APQ8060 processor with 1GB of RAM. Another best feature of HTC Vivid is its capability to be a world phone. While you are in US, you can only run Vivid on AT&T CDMA network. Once you go abroad outside US, you can use HTC Vivid - almost all around the world, since it supports GSM network via GSM SIM card.

As mention above, HTC Vivid already supports 4G LTE data network via AT&T CDMA network. Supported by 4G LTE network and WAP 2.0/xHTML, HTML, Adobe Flash support, surely will bring powerful browsing internet experience. Same thing will works to while you are using GSM network outside US since it is also supported by HSDPA and HSUPA data network. Other connectivity includes WiFi, WiFi hotspot, DLNA, Bluetooth, microUSB connection as well as GPS navigation system with A-GPS support.

HTC Vivid is also equipped by two cameras; a 1.3 megapixels front camera and an 8 megapixels main camera with autofocus and dual LED flash. The main camera can capture images up to 3264 x 2448 pixels resolution with good quality but not great. The camera can also record video up to 1080p resolution at 30 fps with video quality similar to camera. For storage, there is 16 GB internal memory and additional external memory up to 32 GB via microSD card. Multimedia features of Vivid include music player and video player. Both come with standard interface and variety of equalizer settings.

Messaging features of HTC Vivid are SMS (threaded view), MMS, IM, Email, and Push Email. Other features include pre-loaded Google service applications, SNS integration, Organizer, Document viewer, Voice memo/dial/commands, Stereo FM radio with RDS, and Java MIDP emulator. Last but not least, HTC Vivid is powered by Standard battery Li-Ion 1620 mAh that can last up to 7 hours 40 minutes of talk time or up to 288 hours of standby time.
