Come to its keyboard and touchpad, it is simple like other notebook. The keyboard is arranged in well spaced keys with a light sensor that automatically turns on the backlight when the light levels go down. The touchpad comes in a different style with no buttons. The whole pad is functioned as a one big button. Press with a single finger if you want a right click and press with two fingers to have a left click. It also responds to multi-touch gesture as you pinch to zoom or slide two fingers across it to move documents. Being slim, surely there is not much room for inputs but Samsung manages to mount some of input on the left and right edges. Those inputs around include two USB ports (one of which is USB 3.0), a mini-HDMI port, a microSD card reader, Ethernet port and a tiny AC adapter. Stereo speakers are hid behind tiny grilles at the front side edges.

Samsung Series 9 will be powered by the second generation of Intel Core i5 / i7 Processor with 8 GB of RAM and 128/256 GB of SSD. It is also equipped with Microsoft Windows 7 OS. It works great at single-task speed and perfectly fine for most standard uses. But when you use it for video streaming and games for quite a long time, it will ran a little warm. To enhance its performance, Series 9 comes with Intel Turbo Boost technology 2.0 that can automatically allocate the power to the most needed part. In that way, the performance will be faster and save the battery life. Samsung Series 9 also features Samsung Fast Start instant on that allows you to start experiencing the performance in just 12 second of start up.

The battery of Samsung Series 9 also runs very well as it is equipped by PowerPlus technology. PowerPlus optimizes the battery charging so it can extend the battery life. Series 9 uses battery Li-Polymer that manages to serve up to 5 hours and 22 minutes of standby time.
