Designed for Verizon Wireless, Samsung released one of its best basic phone namely Samsung Knack SCH-U310. Comes with a very simple design, Knack is dedicated especially for those who love to be simple and basic. Samsung Knack SCH-U310 for Verizon Wireless is designed with a very simple clamshell models to be easy to use. This simple design is one of the phone’s greatest attributes. The phone measures 96 x 51 x 19 mm and weighs 103 grams. It has one inch monochrome (96 x 96 pixels) external display on the front side of the phone (clamshell closed). The external display shows date, time, signal strength, battery life and caller ID (it won't show photo caller ID). On the left side of the phone sits silver volume control buttons. On the right side, there are charger port with red color cover, voice dialing control in silver color, and 2.5mm headset jack with blue color cover. On the back side, there is a speakerphone.

The navigation array consists of two soft keys, a dedicated "911" key, a speakerphone key, a Call key, a Clear key, an End Call or Power key and a user-programmable "ICE" (In Case of Emergency) key as well as a square toggle key with OK key in the middle.
