Joining the competition of messaging phone, BLU released its new messaging phone that also run on dual GSM network. The phone is called BLU Samba JR Q51. Comes with full QWERTY keyboard, surely it is mentioned to those who love texting. Although, it may not be the best messaging phone, still it not fails to fulfill the texting experience. How in details, let’s have a look at the full details and specification of BLU Samba JR Q51 below.
It comes with a candy bar design and a full QWERTY keyboard. The phone measures 99.3 x 55.9 x 13.8 mm and weighs 75 grams. The entire phone’s body is covered by glossy plastic material with colorful list around the side. The side colors available are Light blue, Red, Silver, Violet, Magenta, Green and Black. The front side of the phone is housed by 1.77 inches TFT screen supports 56K colors and 160 x 128 pixels resolutions. Below the screen, there are navigation array and QWERTY keyboard. The navigation array consists of a rounded toggle key, two soft keys, Call key and End Call key. The QWERTY keyboard is arranged in four rows with the first three rows mostly consists of letters.
BLU Samba JR runs on two GSM networks (GSM 850/900/1800/1900 MHz) that can work together and standby at the same time. It also supports GPRS Class 10 (4+1/3+2 slots) up to 48 kbps for data connectivity. Internet browsing can be done using built-in web browser supports WAP 2.0 or xHTML. Other connectivity includes Bluetooth v2.1 with A2DP and microUSB port connection.
Since it comes with QWERTY keyboard, it is surely designed to be a messaging phone. Messaging features provided may not the best but it surely enough to satisfy the need of texting. The features include text messaging (SMS), multimedia messaging (MMS) and Chat through Instant Messaging services. The phone is also equipped by social networking integration for Facebook and Twitter. For the sound alert, there are Vibration, MP3 ringtones, and Polyphonic ringtones available.
Although BLU Samba JR Q51 comes with no camera, the multimedia feature is still provided. The multimedia features include music player and video player. Enjoying the music, there are loudspeaker and 3.5 mm headset jack available. In addition, there is also Stereo FM radio, and games to keep entertained. For storage, BLUE Samba JR provides 64 MB ROM, 32 MB RAM and additional external memory up to 8 GB via microSD card.
