Indonesia First in the World for RIM’s new BlackBerry Bold series, BlackBerry Bold 9790 Bellagio. Launched last November, RIM comes back with some improvements and touch and type experiences in its new Bellagio. Below, we have phone’s details of feature and specification.
BlackBerry Bold 9790 Bellagio comes with candybar and touch screen design with a QWERTY keyboard, brings touch and type experience together. The phone measures at 110 x 60 x 11.4 mm and weighs at 107 grams. The front side of the phone is housed by 2.4 inches capacitive touch screen (480 x 360 pixels resolution). Right below the screen, there are four physical buttons for Call, Menu, Back, End Call (Power) button and an Optical Trackpad in the middle of them along with QWERTY keyboard. The QWERTY keyboard design is similar to BlackBerry Bold 9900 Dakota. On the top side of the phone, there is Lock button while the bottom side is microUSB port. On the left side, there is 3.5 mm headset jack. Volume controls and convenience button are placed in the right side. On the back side, there is a black panel consist of camera with LED flash and “BOLD” carving. The battery cover takes grey color, contrasting the black panel of camera above it.
BlackBerry Bold 9790 Bellagio is powered by new BlackBerry OS 7.0 and Marvel Tavor MG1 1 GHz processor. The interface showed is clear, easier and more user-friendly compared to its predecessors. As other BlackBerry series, messaging features is the key features of BlackBerry series. Messaging features include SMS (threaded view), MMS, Email, Push Email, and IM as well as BlackBerry Messenger (BBM). Although Bellagio comes with Touch screen, the only way to input text is through QWERTY keyboard.
It is equipped by 5 megapixels camera with autofocus and LED flash. The camera can capture images in resolution of 2592 x 1944 pixels. Some camera features include Geo-tagging, face detection, image stabilization, and scene modes. The camera can also record videos in VGA (640 x 480 pixels). For storage, there is 8 GB internal memory and additional external memory up to up to 32GB via microSD card.
The multimedia features include music player and video player. The music player comes with Audio Boost setting and Equalizers. The music player can play music of MP3/WMA/WAV/eAAC+/FLAC formats. The video player may not as powerful as the music player, but it can play videos in MP4/H.264/H.263/WMV formats.
BlackBerry Bellagio runs on GSM 850/900/1800/1900 MHz and already supports HSDPA (3G) network. The internet connectivity is supported by BlackBerry browser supports HTML webpage. Other connectivity includes Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, microUSB, NFC as well as GPS navigation system with A-GPS support.
BlackBerry Bold Bellagio also equipped by pre-installed application such as BlackBerry App World, BlackBerry Maps, Windows Live Messenger, Document to Go, Google Talk, Yahoo! Messenger, Social Feeds as well as Social Networking integration like Facebook for BlackBerry and Twitter for Blackberry.
BlackBerry Bold 9790 Bellagio is powered by Standard battery, Li-Ion 1230 mAh (JM-1) that is rated up to 5 hours 20 minutes (3G) of talk time or up to 408 hours (3G) of standby time.
