Designed for AT&T, Samsung goes to basic with its Samsung SGH-A107 GoPhone. It is simple and basic as it has no camera and external display. It is merely do basic features like calling, text messaging as well additional feature of internet connectivity. Complete review in details and specifications of Samsung SGH-A107 is presented below.
It comes with clamshell design. The phone’s measure of 88 x 44 x 19.8 mm and weigh of 74 grams made it become the smallest and the lightest clamshell phone. Numeric keypad is placed right below the navigation keypad. The keypad feels roomy and well separated each other made it so easy to do fast text and dial.
Basic as it is, Samsung SGH-A107 comes with basic features as well. It can save 500 entries to phonebook; each entry may have five numbers, an email address, and notes as well as assigned caller group and caller ID. The entry can also be assigned with one of the ringtones available.
For messaging, Samsung SGH-A107 supports text messaging (SMS) and multimedia messaging (MMS). The messaging features come with predictive text input and text message templates. In addition, SGH-A107 is equipped with Instant Messaging to connect with Yahoo!, AOL, ICQ, and Windows Live.
Samsung SGH-A107 runs on AT&T network of GSM 850/1.900 MHz. The phone reception through earpiece is good enough, and the speakerphone is just average.
Although Samsung SGH-A107 comes with basic features, there is a plus point feature added. The phone is equipped with internet connectivity, something that basic phone rarely had. It is supported by GPRS data network and web access with Openwave browser so you can catch the latest news, sports, weather and many more, wherever you surf internet. The internet connectivity is also functioned to download more graphics and ringtones for personalizing the phone. Unfortunately, Samsung SGH-A107 has no games installed.
