It comes with candybar design and full QWERTY keyboard. It’s rather small and light for a QWERTY phone as it measures 112 x 54 x 14.9 mm and weighs 96 grams. The phone is mostly covered by rubberized plastic with good texture. The battery cover has soft and textured finish. In addition, Clutch is certified to military specifications for shock, solar radiation, vibration, and dust. The front side of the phone is housed by 1.79 inches TFT display supports 65k color and dedicated messaging, web browser, and camera buttons directly to the right of the display. Below the screen, there are navigation keys and four rows of QWERTY keyboard. On the left side of the phone, there are volume control buttons, push-to-talk button, 2.5 mm headset jack and microUSB charging port. The VGA camera sits alone in the back side of the phone.

For the interface, Clutch comes with a basic one. The interface is not only basic, but also unattractive. Because of the low resolution display (120 x 160 pixels), the menus become very compact and small, even it shortens the words "contacts" and "messages" to "Contcs" and "Mesgs." You can personalize the Clutch by changing wallpapers, clock formats and theme.

Clutch i465 is equipped by VGA camera without flash that can capture image in five resolutions, from 640 x 480 pixels resolution down to 160 x 128 pixels resolution. Camera features include quality settings, digital zoom, self-timer, brightness, and shutter sounds. The camera is also functioned as a camcorder with a similar set of editing options. Unfortunately, there is only 20 MB internal memory for saving your data.

When it comes on phone performance, it can be said that he voice quality on Clutch i465 is pretty good. It sounds loud and clear, and the speakerphone is loud even in the noisiest environments.

For data connectivity, it has a built-in web browser that is very simple and only offers limited access to the web. Other connectivity includes Bluetooth for wireless headsets and GPS navigation system.

Motorola Clutch i465 can save up to 600 entries of phonebook; each consists of seven phone numbers, an email address and notes. Basic features of the phone include a vibrate mode, a memo pad, a speakerphone, a voice memo recorder, call timers, and a datebook as well as two games. Messaging features of Motorola Clutch i465 include text messaging (SMS) in threaded view, multimedia messaging, and email. Furthermore, there is also walkie-talkie Push-to-Talk application available. Motorola Clutch i465 battery life is rated up to 5.5 hours of talk time and 5.16 days of standby time.

Overall, Motorola Clutch i465 is still a good phone, all things considered. Don’t focus only on its QWERTY keyboard as the phone feels more like an entry-level feature phone with an extra messaging feature.
