Temple Run, a Survival Game for iPhone

Temple Run is a survival or escape game for iPhone where you play an Indiana Jones-like character. The storyline is simple; you discovered a temple, stole a cursed golden boy and now you need to save your life from demon guardians by running through the temple and finding a way out. The character is always moving forward and running towards maze full of obstacles. An interesting feature of Temple Run is that it offers gives you a 3D perspective and uses a third person view.

For its control, Temple Run uses touch screen navigating. To change direction, you can swipe left or right on the screen. Swipe up to jump over obstacles or swipe down to slide under obstacles. You can also lean your phone back and forth to get down the lane and collect the plentiful coins that are littered around. Sometimes as game goes further, you need the combination of all of these moves to confront more challenge and obstacle as you never know what you're going to confront when you go around the next turn. Failing to quickly react to incoming obstacles, you will be knocked down and attacked by the demon guardians nearby.

At first Temple Run may seem complicated and difficult to play, but after just few minutes playing, you will soon feel ease and accustomed to it. Temple Run may also give you a constantly feel like you’re running from something, not just running for the sake of it - just a few great games can create such a feeling.

While you are running away in Temple Run, you definitely have to collect coins and unlock power-up. There are four power-up that you have to unlock. Each power-up will add more fun to the game while you are running through the temple. For example, unlock power-up allow you to buy things like a magnet that will suck in nearby coins or magically creates bridges over gaps. You can also buy value multiplier that gives you double and triple coin value the farther you run. Furthermore, the power-up can be upgraded to become stronger or more valuable. You can also purchase a resurrection item in Temple Run by double tapping on the screen. Resurrection item will save you from your next death.

Besides running and collecting coins in Temple Run, there is also constant pressure arose every time you made mistakes. Whenever you accidently stumble over a tree or root or make mistakes, monkey monsters and demon guardians nearby will appears to catch you.

In conclusion, with its 3D perspective, beautiful graphics, dynamic levels, unique controls, and power-up features, Temple Run is an excellent survival/escape game and an excellent time-waster.
