Apple iPhone is a smartphone developed by Apple to cover up all your communication, multimedia as well as your mobile activity. It is also claimed to be one of the best smartphone as it provides great features and great performance. You can do a lot of things with iPhone as all have been provided. But the circumstances may not be same all the time. Sometimes you have files on your computer that you would like to use on your iPhone. It means that you must move it from your computer to your iPhone. The simplest way of moving files to an iPhone is using a universal serial bus (USB) cable compatible for iPhone. How to move files using iPhone USB cable will be explained below.
Before moving the files, there are items that should be used; iPhone, Computer/Laptop/Netbook, and iPhone USB cable. After all is complete, here is the step by step moving files to an iPhone.
Step 1
Run iTunes application on your computer. When you are using iPhone, iTunes is a must-have application as it is used to activate your iPhone and manage your iPhone.
Step 2
Connect iPhone to the computer using iPhone USB cable. Plug one end of the USB cable into the iPhone and plug the other end into a USB port on your computer. Once it connected, iPhone’s icon will appear in the left side of the iTunes window.
Step 3
Click the iPhone icon and find the “Summary” tab in the iTunes window and click it. To prevent iTunes from automatically synchronize your computer content to the iPhone, click “Manually Manage Music and Videos” option and choose “Apply”. Setting iTunes to manually manage your files allows you to select what you want to move to the iPhone using iPhone USB cable.
Step 4
To move files that are downloaded from iTunes, just go to the iTunes library. Find your files from one of the categories; “Movies," "TV Shows" "Podcasts," "Books" or "Apps". Once you find your desired files, drag the files you downloaded from the iTunes store into the iPhone’s icon to copy them over the iPhone USB cable.
Step 5
Moving PDF files hold a different way. Click on "Books" below "Devices" tab in the left panel. Next, you need to locate the PDF file you want to copy on your computer. Once you find the file, drag the file to the iTunes window and it will be automatically copied to your iPhone.
Step 6
To move photos, you have to go to "Photos" tab in the iTunes window and then click Click on the checkbox next to "Sync Photos". After that, locate the folder consist of your desired photos on your computer from the pull-down menu. The pull-down menu can also be used to locate photos from Adobe Photoshop Elements 8.0 or later on a PC and from iPhoto or Aperture on a Mac. Next, click "All Folders" or "Selected Folders," and then click "Sync" to move photos from your computer to the iPhone via iPhone USB cable.
