Motorola Droid Razr Maxx, a 4G LTE Smartphone with Powerful Battery

One of the best new phones exhibited at CES 2012, it is Motorola Droid Razr Maxx. Together with Verizon Wireless, Motorola exhibited its new phone that is surely equipped with massive features. It comes with 4G LTE support on Verizon network, 4.3 inches Super AMOLED display, 8 megapixels camera, 1.2 GHz processor, extremely powerful battery and many more. It is expected to be released on Q1, 2012. As it has not been released, first here is the detail specification of the phone.

Motorola Droid Razr Maxx comes with a sleek and exquisite full touch screen design. It is very thin and light measuring 130.7 x 68.9 x 9 mm and weighing 145 grams. Above all, its body is covered by high quality materials made of Kevlar material on the back panel, diamond cut aluminum accents, and stainless steel core. The display is very clear and sharp as it features 4.3 inches Super AMOLED Advanced capacitive touch screen with 540 x 960 pixels resolution and 16M colors support. Above the screen is a front facing camera while below is four touch sensitive buttons like any other Android phone.

Implies for its name, the superb feature of Motorola Droid Razr Maxx is its extremely powerful battery. It can be said very extreme as it is powered by enormously large standard battery Li-Ion 3300 mAh. It is rated up to 21 hours of talk time on single charged; delivers twice the battery life of other leading smartphones. It can be said that it is the longest battery life of any 4G smartphone.

Droid Razr Maxx is supported by Android OS, v2.3.5 (Gingerbread) and Dual-core 1.2 GHz Cortex-A9 processor with TI OMAP 4430 chipset and 1GB RAM. Rather upsetting as it only comes with Gingerbread, but Motorola said that it will be updated to Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich in the second Quarter of 2012. Droid Razr Maxx runs on Verizon’s CDMA network and already supports Verizon’s 4G LTE network. Its high speed data connectivity is supported by EV-DO Rev. A up to 3.1 Mbps, and 4G LTE data network. Other connectivity includes Wi-Fi, Wi-Fi hotspot, Bluetooth, DLNA, HDMI, and microUSB connection. There is also GPS navigation system with A-GPS support and GLONASS.

Come to the camera, Motorola Droid Razr Maxx is equipped by two cameras; a 1.3 megapixels front facing camera and an 8 megapixels main camera with autofocus and LED flash located on the back side. Some of camera features include Touch-focus, geo-tagging, face detection, and image stabilization. For video recording, it manages to record HD video of 1080p resolution at 30 fps. Storing the data, Droid Razr Maxx comes with 16 GB internal memory and additional external memory up to 32 GB via microSD card. Multimedia feature also comes with its best performance in playing music and video. It support music of MP3/AAC+/WAV/WMA formats and video of MP4/H.263/H.264/WMV formats.

Messaging features include SMS (threaded view), MMS, Instant messaging, Email, and Push Email. Other great features are pre-loaded Google service applications, Splash resistant, SNS integration, Organizer, Document viewer/editor, Voice memo/dial/commands, Accelerometer and Java MIDP emulator.
