Another Nokia Symbian Belle smartphone, here we have Nokia 701. Comes with a good design, a very bright screen, powerful 1 GHz processor along with Symbian Belle OS, it appeared to be one of the great smartphone worth to buy. In details, let’s have a look at review below.
Nokia 701 comes with full touchscreen design with rounded edges. It measures 117.2 x 56.8 x 11 mm and weighs 131 grams. The phone is covered by plastic material with anodized metal battery cover. The front side of the phone is housed by 3.5 inches capacitive touchscreen supports 16M colors. The screen is very clear and bright; thanks to Nokia ClearBlack display technology. Located above the screen are proximity-sensor light, earpiece and front camera while below the screen are three physical buttons for Call, Menu and End Call. On the right side, there are volume control buttons, voice button, lock button and camera shutter. Charger port is located on the left side of the phone. On the top of the phone are Power button, 3.5 mm headset jack and microSD card slot. The back side of the phone, there are 8 megapixels camera with dual LED flash as well as speakerphone.
Nokia 701 is supported by Symbian Belle OS that give attractive users interfaces and responsive operating to application. There are six pages of Home screen with individual wallpaper that can be customized by adding widgets or application shortcuts. There is also notification bar appeared when you swipe from top to bottom of the screen. The interfaces can work well in landscape view. The main menu of Nokia 701 is arranged in 3 x 4 orders with easy to touch rounded icons. All application run smoothly even in multitasking one, thanks to 1GHz processor with dedicated 2D/3D graphics accelerator and 512MB of RAM.
Messaging features of Nokia 701 include SMS (threaded view), MMS, Email, Push Mail, and IM. The text input is done by virtual keypad consist of alphanumeric keypad on portrait view and QWERTY keypad on both portrait and landscape view.
It runs on GSM and HSDPA network and already supports HSDPA up to 14.4 Mbps and HSUPA up to 5.76 Mbps data connectivity. Internet browsing can be experienced using built-in Nokia web browser supports WAP 2.0/xHTML, HTML, and Adobe Flash Lite.
