How to Activate New iPhone 4S iOS 5

When you get new iPhone 4S especially if it is your first iPhone, there are lots of things you need to learn about iPhone. The most basic one is how to activate new iPhone 4S. In details, here is an instruction and step by step to activate iPhone 4S.

There are two options you can choose for activating the iPhone. The first one is via WiFi or cellular network (make sure you get a stable network). Apple iPhone 4S running on iOS 5 allows you to activate the phone without ever being connected to PC and synced to iTunes. This case is only for those who have the iPhone for the first time. The second option is using iTunes application on PC to complete the activation (stable internet connectivity is required). Connect the iPhone to the PC through USB Cable and follow the onscreen instructions in iTunes.

1. First of all, insert your new micro SIM card.
2. Turn your iPhone on by pressing and holding the Power button in the top right corner.
3. Follow the onscreen instruction to activate cellular network.
4. Done with cellular network activation, there will be a configuration screen to activate new iPhone. Just swipe the slider to the right to start iPhone activation.
5. The first configuration will be setting your language and location. Begin with choosing language you are familiar with and then tap next button in the top right corner of the screen. Next, choose your current country or the country you want to use the phone in and tap next button.
6. After that, you will give an option whether you want to activate Location service or not. Location service allows you to get full GPS services and other application that depend on knowing your location. Tap on the Enable Location Services and then tap the next button.
7. Next option is connecting to WiFi network to get internet connectivity. The internet connectivity is needed for the next configuration since the next configuration requires you to send your personal data. If you don’t get any WiFi, you can skip the option. You still have internet connectivity through your cellular network. If you managed to get WiFi network, tap on the WiFi network you want to connect (password may be required) and then tap next button to proceed.
8. In the next configuration, you have to choose your iPhone set up. There are three set up option; Set Up as New iPhone, Restore from iCloud Backup, and Restore from iTunes Backup. Since it is your first iPhone, choose the Set Up as New iPhone option and tap the next button.
9. For you who have the iPhone for the first time, you need to create Apple ID. Tap on the Create a new Apple ID option and follow the instructions.
10. In the next screen there will be two of terms and conditions. Tap on the agree option and go to the next configuration.
11. This time you will have options related to iCloud. Tap the option of Use iCloud and decide where you want to backup your iPhone; iCloud or My Computer. Tap your choice and then tap the next button to continue.
12. Then you need to decide whether you want to enable Siri or not. Siri is iPhone's virtual assistant with voice-activated that you can talk to perform actions. Make your choice and tap the Next button.
13. The next step is activating Find my iPhone feature. Choose the option to Use Find My iPhone and tap next to proceed.
14. Completing the activation, Apple will then ask if you want to share information about your iPhone. Make your choice and you are done to activate new iPhone 4S.
