This phone has been nothing but problems and I will never buy a droid again. Some of the problems? locks up, does not deliver email all the time- you have to take out the battery and restart, the phone charger attachs at the top which is a poor design, slow going from screen to screen, battery drains after 4 hours.
The phone even had a message that the last time the screen updated was 12/31/1969. What is up with that?
Constant problems from day one and I have taken it to the store many times. The upgrade process was unclear and cumbersome.
Do not get this phone unless you are ready to deal with problems.

Pros:
1. Sliding Qwerty Keyboard
Cons:
1. Poor battery life. With light use, I need to recharge fully every night. With heavy use, the battery dies halfway through the day.
2. Takes quite some time to transition from vertical to horizontal.
3. Takes from 30 seconds to 1 minute to transition from any app to the main screen.
4. Shuts off randomly thoughout the day.
5. Feels very cheap.
6. Cannot read screen in sunlight.
* My four year old iphone 1 did not have any problems that I am having with my brand new Samsung Transform. Do not purchase this phone unless you have the patience of a saint.

I've had this phone since Dec 2010 and it was my first Android phone.
From the beginning it began to slow down, and true the battery life is short. I finally got used to having wires everywhere to charge the phone, yet over time it got very slow. Then I thought if I were to change the SDHC card it might improve the performance.
I installed a SDHC 8GB class 6 card (about $15 on Amazon) and it has made all the difference in the world. I have more apps now than before (as I was afraid to load any more of them for fear the phone would get slower) and it now works very fast in every respect, even compared to when it was new. (Note that I was sure all along to move each app to the SD card.)
I like this phone. I like it much better than before. It is always going to be on the slow side compared with the newer phones like like an Epic 4G (I am with Sprint), but all things considered, this is a good reliable phone that once the SDHC card is upgraded works phenomenally well.
