Like a lot of EVO 4G users, I quickly grew tired of the surprisingly poor performance of the standard issue battery. Great having a 4G device, annoying to not actually be able to use 4G very regularly without draining the battery. I checked around on Amazon and decided that I would spend the extra money and get the non-generic extended life battery. Thrilled that I did. Got it a couple of days ago, dropped it in the phone, put on the new backing (make sure you buy the back case that covers this battery, the issued one won't fit this battery), and charged it up. As reported elsewhere, you'll get a false reading from your EVO battery gauge so I downloaded an app that would more accurately measure the new battery (it seems the gauge on the phone only measures to 1800mAh or so, this battery charges up to 3500, so when you initially see 100% charged, you need to charge a couple of hours more). After a full night's charge I ran 4G, wifi, and GPS and left them running all day just to see how the battery did. Moderate usage (checked email all day, tweeted, some internet, some gaming, some phone calls) during the day and when I headed to bed it still had 59% charge. Ran it harder today and same results. Sitting around 60% charge after a full day's use. Here's the kicker, the company claims that you won't get full performance until you charge the battery fully at least 4-5 times.

Look, I don't know if the generic cheaper batteries work well or not, the reviews were mixed, but it would seem that the battery is something you don't want to mess around with. I am blown away by how much this battery can handle and it allows me to use the device like I wanted to use it when I got it two months ago. I wish the issued battery were more powerful because it would seem to me that if you advertise a device as a 4G device but then recommend not running 4G unless absolutely necessary, you don't actually have a 4G device. Now it is just that and I'm able to use it without worrying about recharging it during the day. Fantastic product and I can't recommend it enough.

Three weeks into using this battery and it is fantastic. Holds charge beautifully even after I leave 4G and GPS on all day and intermittent use of email, web, and apps. I put it back on the charger at the end of the day and it always has 50% or more charge left. Like I said in the first part of the review, this battery let's me use the phone the way that I wanted to use it when I first got it. Love it!

I have had this Battery for about 6 months and i love it. I have only seen the battery "yellow" 6 times and "red" 1 time. and in 180 days that is not amazing after seeing it everyday, 2 times a day with the factory battery.I felt like i was on a corded phone because it was always on the charger. And i use my phone a lot. But as some of the other reviews on here say def let it charge for a couple hours after the light turns green, but an overnight charge is the best. If you really like your phone and are on it and depend on it, this battery is a MUST HAVE!!!

Thank you Seido! Finally I can use my Evo without having to swap batteries and find an AC outlet throughout the day. I use my Evo with bluetooth, 4G, and GPS throughout the day pretty heavily and 95% of the time I make it the entire day! Before this I had bought a couple of 3500mAH batteries and two fully charged ones wouldn't always last me the entire day. I highly recommend this if you just got an Evo or have had one for awhile!

So, how much does it cost? This amazing HTC Evo extended battery price is only $57.49! You can get the Best Price at Amazon.
