Review: Pixlr-O-Matic

Like modifying and playing around with your pics? Get them in different shades and styles.. Use a lot of color combinations and flaunt yourself? Try this app.. Its the best Photography app I have come across in Android. I havent used the best pic modification app for iphone as people say, Instagram I mean but I say whats the need of Instagram on Android when we have Pixlr-O-Matic.

Pixlr-O-Matic is a free photo sharing application that allows users to take a photo, apply some digital filter, then share it on a variety of social networking services.

When you start the app, this is the first page that you see. Either select camera and snap a pic or click photo and select a pic from your memory.

After selecting the pic, You have 3 options at the bottom of the pic.. The first one is to colorize your pic, I mean shade it in hell lotta different shared.. keep scrolling the bar and you'll se so many types. See what suits you the best.

The second I say is the background/covering/change the look of the pic type of designs which totally make your pic look different..

The third option is Frames. there are so many sexy frames, I haven't seen any app which has so many options and everyone of them out-beating the other one. They look funky, different, sexy, beautiful, sober and whatever you wanna name them ;)

The BEST option is on the top of the app.. It gives me a Muhahahhaha type of a feeling whenever I use it. You don't have to run your brains to make yourself or any of your pic to look hawt..

Just load a pic and press thekey and see the magic.. Keep pressing it and saving the best auto-combo's that you like :D

Now save your beautifully made pic on the mobile now or you can directly share it from your Android device..

Make yourself better than the best ;)

Cheers!!

Shush - Ringer Restorer

A very interesting application which makes a lil work easier for you. Very helpful as far as I've used it till now.

Shush! The name itself sounds facinating, doesn't it?? Ok what this app does is, when you lower your volume to zero, it pops up on the screen quickly and asks you when do you wish to enable your sound again. You can set a maximum of 12 hour gap.

Use the circle around the houra written and drag it sweetly to set your time at. 1/4th hour interval. Or you can also use the + & - signs to set the number of hours when you want to enable your sounds from the silent mode.

On the lower left of the popped up screen is a volume icon which helps you set the amount of volume you want your sounds to be enabled at.
Same way just tap on it and drag to set the volume level.

You can change the colour of the popup by going to the app in the applications menu. There are 2 available options:
1. Turn on / off the notification
2. Change Colour.. Just keep tapping on the colour and it gives u different options. Choose your favourite and set it right there.

My latest experience: I'd gone for a couple of days ago. It was a 3 hour movie. I dropped the volume to zero and shush! popped up and I the ringer enabling time to 3 hours which was the approximate time the movie would get over and forgot about it. Right after 3 hours the ringer got enabled automatically :D

Crazy Fish Live Wallpaper

I came across this a week ago and I should tell you, Crazy Fish Live Wallpaper is really cool.. Its got a live wallpaper which lives on the background of your android screen and its got an inbuilt game which you can start and play whenever you have some free time.

The background looks lively, it doesnt suck battery and makes your phone look like a live aquarium.

About the game:
I have added lil' directions on the image below.. YOU are the lil red fish on the screen. The game is simple and gets tough as YOUR size increases. Your mission is to eat more and more Fish and grow bigger.

You have 4 lives. The green icon which appears above the yellow fish in the pic is what you are allowed to eat. I liked the icon selection of the developer. The green icon has a lil' image of a spoon and fork which says you can eat it.

Stay Safe from the fish which hold the red icon which indicated danger. Your not allowed to eat the fish with the red icon till you grow big enough and cross a particular score. As you pass that score, the red icons change to green and you can then go ahead and murder those fish and eat them.

The background sound is nice, it doesnt bore you. What I did on my home screens is, I added an extra plain screen just to play this game. Thats the best way to go about it and enjoy the game.

Tip: Do not drag the red fish on the screen cuz it then changes your home screens and confuses you. Just tap at the place you want the red fish to go and it runs there to save itself or eat other fish.

Have fun! Enjoy the wallpaper and the game

Facebook for Android gets an Update

Facebook for Android smartphones gets a facelift with better Looks, Speed, Better UI and something totally Different and new. They say that apps for Android are old models and cannot compete with the Apple apps for twitter and facebook. Who would say it after getting their hands on the totally new and rocking upgrades.

The upgrade is given the version 1.8.0.
As soon as its updated, you can opt to view a small tour which gives you a lil' info about what it is.

The pic you see below is the menu. You get all that you want from your profile to the friends list to the groups you are in and the pages you have liked. There is a search bar on the top of the menu which allows you to search for anything like people, pages, groups etc with ease.

There are three icons on the top as visible in the pic below. The first one shows if you have any new friend requests, the second one directs you to messages and the third one is for the notifications. Now the interesting part is the way these are made. Sweet. Just click on any one of them and you get a small window which shows the latest things like the requests, notifications and messages which opens on top of your original page. So you wont have to go back looking for where you were before you went to the notifications page. Look at the screenshot below.

The facebook app has always been slow on usual 2G networks but this one beats all the critics of Facebook app for Android. Try it to feel it.

Twitter for Android gets an Update

The new look of official Twitter client for Android smart phones is rocking and making its way on all the phones with Android operating system. The new look of the app looks like a superb and BIG update. From a usual normal look so a full proof update.

Here are some screen shots of what I have seen till now.
The mentions have been replaced with Connect as you can see in the screenshot. The Navbar contains the timeline which is called Home, then Connect which gives options at the bottom to see all interactions which shows youe RT's, people who have followed you etc and mentions which show the tweets in which you are mentioned.

#Discover has been newly added which shows the trends and a lil' information about the trending topics.. Roll down for seeing all the trending topics.

I Loved the compose new tweet 'icon' on the top right which gets you to this page. and when you click the @ symbol at the bottom it shows you the list of all the people you follow.

Me: The last option on the navbar takes you to your profile which shows you the direct messages, drafts (saved tweets), lists you have been following/created, if you use multiple accounts you can switch accounts and settings.

Twitter has been added to the photo upload service.

Happy Tweeting :-)
