Curious about Samsung Galaxy series smartphone, today we have Samsung S5830EUBLK Galaxy Ace review. Over the years, South Korean’s Vendor Samsung is very aggressive in developing its Android phone through Galaxy series smartphone. How powerful is this smartphone, let’s take a deeper look at the review.
Samsung Galaxy Ace comes up with minimalist candybar design, with smooth rounded edge, slim, and compact size. Glossy plastic material covers up the phone with glossy in the front, silver rounds the phone and textured in the back. Galaxy Ace is very compact and slim measuring 112.4 x 59.9 x 11.5 mm and weighing 113 grams. On the front, we can see a 3.5 inches TFT capacitive touchscreen with Gorilla Glass and a resolution of 320 x 480 pixels. There is only one physical button appears in the front, located below the touchscreen, it is Home button. On the left and right side of the Home button are Menu button and Back button, both are capacitive. No front facing camera appears but there is a proximity sensor light located at the right above the touchscreen. On the left side of the phone, there are volume controls while the right side, there are Power or Lock key, microSD card slot. The bottom side features microphone and the up side features the 3.5mm headphone jack and charging port that serve as well as microUSB port. On the back, there is a 5 Megapixels (2592 x 1944 pixels) camera with autofocus and LED flash. It can captured images and record 320x240 pixels (QVGA) videos.
For audio quality, everything worked well although things start to get quite distorted at a higher volume level. The music player still uses standard TouchWiz UI. The interface consists of several tabs to sort artists, albums, songs, and playlists. Equalizer and DNSe technology has been added to strengthen the audio output. There is also video playback. The quality is fine but format support is very limited, it can play video with standard format. In addition, there is a stereo FM radio feature with RDS.
Samsung Galaxy Ace runs on GSM 850/900/1800/1900and HSDPA 900/2100 network. For the data connectivity, Galaxy Ace is equipped by WiFi, Bluetooth, and microUSB. It also comes up with 158 MB storage and if you need to store a lot of music, pictures and video on here, there is a micro SD slot card up to 32 GB.
Deeper inspection of Samsung S5830EUBLK Galaxy Ace review, let’s move on to its software. Samsung Galaxy Ace is powered by Android version 2.2 (Froyo) and supported by Qualcomm MSM7227 800 MHz ARM 11. The whole applications manage to run smoothly, powerful and no necessary lag in spite of its 278MB of RAM. Browsing the web is a respectable enough experience with fairly rapid rendering of WebPages and smooth motion when you roam round and zoom in and out of a page. Unfortunately there is no Flash available so you won't be able to watch online videos.
Furthermore, there are some pre-installed Android applications that are well equipped in the Galaxy Ace. And thousands of applications are waiting to be downloaded at Android Market.
Last but not least in Samsung S5830EUBLK Galaxy Ace review is the battery performance. Galaxy Ace is supported by Standard battery, Li-Ion 1350 mAh. Battery life proved to be well enough with up to 640 hours (26 days) of standby mode and up to 11 hours of usage.
