LG Optimus GT540 is the second Android smartphone developed by LG. It comes up on three shiny colors; black, white and pink along with futuristic and exquisite design. Does it design as powerful as it performance? Let’s take a deeper insight on LG Optimus GT540 full detail below.
LG Optimus GT540 comes up with a thin rectangular unit, curved edges and silver list on both side of the phone. The body is covered by plastic material with textured like brushed metal. It feels comfortable in hand by its dimension of 109 x 54.5 x 12.7 mm and weigh of 115.5 grams. On the front side, there is 3 inches resistive touchscreen (320 x 480 pixels). Above the screen is the earpiece that serves as well as loudspeaker. Below the screen, there are resistive touch sensitive keys (Back, Menu) and physical navigation keys (Home, Call, and End Call). The End button also serves as Power button. Volume controls are located on the left side while the Search button, microUSB port and Camera shutter are located on the right side. On the top side, there is the standard 3.5mm audio jack. On the back side there is only 3 megapixels autofocus camera with no flash.
It is supported by Android OS version 1.6 (Donut). The interface is similar to most Android phones with no customization on Home screen. It has 3 home screens and an extra page for widgets. Some preloaded widgets from social networking sites like Facebook and Twitter allow real-time updates.
LG Optimus GT540 equips with 139 MB internal memory. And if that is not sufficient enough, there is a microSD card slot up to 32GB available. Images gallery also functions as videos gallery. The gallery has already equipped with timeline application which automatically sort the images based on the date taken. On multimedia, LG Optimus GT540 works very well to. There is a music player that can play music in the format of MP3, WAV, WMA, and eAAC. Unfortunately, there is no equalizer available. There is also video player that play video in the format of MP4, DivX, Xvid, H.264, H.263, and WMV. The video can be play on portrait or landscape view. Optimus also equips with FM radio. In order to listen to radio, the headset should be attached on the phone.
LG Optimus GT540 has already support 3G/HSDPA up to 7.2 Mbps. For the connectivity, there are Bluetooth v2.1 with A2DP, WiFi (802.11 b/g) and microUSB port. Optimus does not support Flash webpages, but it still take the basic browsing functions such as Back, Bookmarks, and New Tab as well as extended features like Search, Select Text, Settings, etc. To compensate for its lack of Flash support, the LG GT540 Optimus offers a pre-installed YouTube application. To access social media, Optimus equips with SNS application that connected to social media such as Facebook, Twitter and Bebo.
Other features in the phone are Social networking integrated with live updates, Google Search, Google Maps, Gmail, YouTube, Google Talk, Organizer, Document viewer, Voice memo, calendar, alarm clock, voice recorder, calculator, messaging (SMS, MMS, email), and A-GPS as well as Android application. To support all of these performances, LG GT540 is supported by Standard battery, Li-Ion 1500 mAh.
