In order to strengthen its place in smartphone market, Samsung comes up with its Windows Mobile phone, Samsung Omnia II SCH-i920. Powered by Windows Mobile 6.5 Professional OS, Omnia II offers a new experience of a smartphone. To see its performance, let’s take a look at Samsung Omnia SCH-i920 review.
It comes up with candybar design, measuring at 121 x 60 x 13 mm and weighing at 144 grams. The front side of the phone is housed by 3.7 inches (480 x 800 pixels) resistive touchscreen. The screen is so bright, clear and sharp, thanks to Samsung’s AMOLED display technology. Below the screen, there are Call key, Menu key and End Call (Power) key. For text input, Samsung Omnis II offers a virtual QWERTY keyboard on both portrait and landscape view with Swype technology. Swype is a text entry method that lets you type on a QWERTY keyboard without lifting your finger. Start typing and the Swype will figure out what word you are trying to input. For the interface, Samsung Omnia II uses TouchWiz User Interface. On the left side of the Home screen, there is an expandable widget tray. On the bottom of the screen, there is a notification bar that telling you to any new messages or missed calls. The Main menu consists of 12 icons per page and each page is customizable.
